Someone asked me to blog about my wedding preparations. Frankly speaking, people usually get so busy with the nitty gritty details of the preparations that they don't think of blogging, but I am persuaded and so here's my entry...

Actually, wedding preparations aren't hard work. If you have planned a year ahead, and keep
doing stuff consistently, you'll be cool as a cucumber.

BUT, my test came in the form of a job loss. Two months before my wedding. It happened.

Then I plunged into deep darkness, along with my faith which had been high up before this.
Plans were readjusted. Renovations were reduced to a minimum. Honeymoon was decided on a nearby location.

For one month I sat at home checking out recruitment ads, battling negative thoughts of a much compromised wedding. I tried to turn away dismaying thoughts, but it was hard when you have nothing to do when everyone else is pretty much busy working.

To cut a long story short, after a seemingly infinite period, blessings came.
My refrigerator is blessed (by someone of course)
My washer is blessed.
My hood and hob are blessed.
My dining table, tv console and coffee table are blessed.
Praise be to God!

Many wonderful friends came alongside me to encourage me through the depressing time.
Thank you Jairus, Wendy, Roy, Ling Siang, my cg members, my sister.
Most wonderfully, my hubby-to-be for telling me:
What matters is we go through trials together and become closer and tougher.

I was upset with myself for allowing my faith to be punctured. And now I'm believing God will build my house when I used half my life to build His. Amen!
